Focal Bathys MG Wireless Over-Ear Headphones – Chestnut

The Focal Bathys MG in Chestnut is a pair of closed-back, over-ear headphones combining wireless listening with active noise cancellation. Its 40 mm magnesium M-shaped drivers are made in Focal’s French workshops, while Bluetooth 5.2 provides the wireless connection. Silent and Soft modes let you choose the amount of noise reduction, and Transparent mode helps you hear your surroundings without removing the headphones. For compatible wired sources, USB-DAC operation supports audio up to 24-bit/192 kHz; this resolution does not apply to Bluetooth playback. SBC, AAC, aptX and aptX Adaptive are supported, although the codec available depends on the transmitting device. Battery life is rated at 30 hours using Bluetooth and noise cancelling. A carrying case, USB-C cable and 3.5 mm audio cable are supplied, while the Focal & Naim app provides further sound adjustment.
