Sonos Beam (Gen 2) Soundbar — Black

The Sonos Beam (Gen 2) is a compact mains-powered soundbar finished in matte black, designed for television sound and network music playback. This second-generation model supports Dolby Atmos through processing that creates a virtual sense of height with compatible content and television equipment. It does not contain dedicated upward-firing height speakers and should not be confused with Arc Ultra or Beam Ultra. Five Class-D amplifiers drive one centre tweeter and four elliptical midwoofers, with three passive radiators supporting bass reproduction. HDMI eARC or ARC provides the television connection, while the supplied optical adapter offers an alternative for compatible optical-output televisions; optical does not deliver Dolby Atmos. Wi-Fi and Apple AirPlay 2 support music streaming, and an Ethernet port allows a wired network connection. Beam Gen 2 is not a Bluetooth audio speaker. Speech Enhancement can make dialogue easier to follow, while Night Sound moderates loud and quiet passages. Trueplay room tuning requires a supported iOS device, rather than Android-only setup. Optional compatible Sonos rear speakers and a subwoofer can be added separately, but are not included with this black soundbar.
