Sony ULT TOWER 9AC Mains-Powered Party Speaker, Black

The Sony ULT TOWER 9AC is a mains-powered three-way bass-reflex party speaker, supplied here in black. Its driver arrangement combines one approximately 320 by 320mm woofer with two 120mm midrange units, two 50mm front tweeters and two 40mm rear tweeters. This is the AC version, so it should not be confused with a battery-equipped ULT TOWER model or advertised with battery runtime. Connections include a USB-A port, a 3.5mm audio input and optical input, alongside separate 6.3mm MIC1 and MIC2/GUITAR sockets for microphones or an instrument. The optical input accepts PCM signals at 32, 44.1, 48 and 96kHz. Sony specifies a cabinet size of 410 by 910 by 456mm including projecting parts and controls, and an approximate weight of 28.5kg. Its quoted 148W consumption describes electrical input, not loudspeaker audio output. Plan for a suitable mains supply and the cabinet’s size when placing it in your room or event space.
