Yamaha A-S501 Stereo Integrated Amplifier – Black

The Yamaha A-S501 is a stereo integrated amplifier combining analogue inputs with optical and coaxial digital connections. Yamaha rates its continuous output at 85 W per channel into 8 ohms, measured from 20 Hz to 20 kHz at 0.019% total harmonic distortion. This figure should not be confused with higher maximum-power ratings measured under different conditions. A moving-magnet phono input accepts a suitable turntable, and a subwoofer output allows connection to an appropriate active subwoofer. Pure Direct bypasses tone and balance controls, while switched speaker outputs support the manufacturer's A/B speaker arrangements. The Black amplifier uses Yamaha's ToP-ART layout and ART base construction. It does not contain built-in network streaming, Bluetooth or a computer USB-audio input. Passive speakers and music sources are separate purchases, and speaker loading and ventilation must follow Yamaha's instructions.
