Mackie 1402VLZ4 Analogue Mixer

The Mackie 1402VLZ4 is a compact analogue mixer with 14 input channels, but that total does not mean 14 microphone preamps. It provides six Onyx microphone preamps alongside its line-input facilities, making the distinction important when planning a microphone-heavy setup. Phantom power supports suitable condenser microphones, and the mic-input channels include 75 Hz low-cut filtering. Three-band EQ provides tonal adjustment, while two auxiliary sends and two stereo returns support external processing and other routing needs. The ALT 3/4 stereo bus adds another destination beyond the main mix, and the control-room and headphone source matrix assists monitoring. Sixty-millimetre faders and 12-segment stereo meters provide hands-on level control and visual feedback. A steel chassis completes the design; rack mounting requires an optional ear kit rather than included hardware.
