Sennheiser EW-D 835-S S1-7 Digital Wireless Handheld Microphone System

The Sennheiser EW-D 835-S S1-7 combines an EW-D EM rack receiver with an EW-D SKM-S handheld transmitter and MMD 835 dynamic cardioid capsule for singing and spoken-word use. Digital UHF transmission offers 134dB of audio-input dynamic range and 1.9ms latency. The handheld has a mute switch, while the Smart Assist app uses Bluetooth to help manage the system; this is a control connection, not Bluetooth audio streaming. The S1-7 variant tunes from 606.2 to 662MHz. It requires appropriate UK radio licensing and is not licence-exempt: check the authorised frequencies for your venue before operation. Two AA batteries provide up to eight hours of operation, while the optional rechargeable lithium-ion pack extends the stated runtime to twelve hours and is sold separately. The set includes a microphone clip, rod antennas, power supply with country adapters and rackmount hardware. Available channel numbers depend on local spectrum and licensing, so the maximum system capacity is not a promise of usable channels at every location.
