Yamaha MG12XU 12-Channel USB Mixer with Effects

The Yamaha MG12XU is a 12-channel analogue mixing console with 6 microphone inputs, D-PRE preamps and an integrated stereo USB audio interface. Its input layout combines 4 mono MIC/LINE strips, two stereo-capable MIC/LINE strips and two stereo line-input strips. This is a 12-channel mixer, not a 12-microphone preamp bank. One-knob compression on selected mono channels helps control signal dynamics, while the SPX effects processor provides 24 programs for adding effects to the mix. The console has 2 group buses, one stereo bus and 2 auxiliary buses including the effects send. USB audio supports two input and two output channels at up to 24-bit/192kHz, making it suitable for stereo recording and playback rather than separate multitrack capture of every mixer channel. Balanced XLR stereo outputs provide the main connection to a PA system, with group, monitor and headphone outputs available for routing and monitoring. Yamaha specifies +48V phantom power and an internal universal power supply. The metal chassis measures 308 × 118 × 422mm in width-by-height-by-depth order and weighs 4.2kg.
