Wharfedale Diamond 12.2i Bookshelf Speakers – Deep Black Pair

The Wharfedale Diamond 12.2i is a two-way passive standmount loudspeaker from the updated Diamond 12i range, supplied here as a pair in Deep Black. Each rear-ported cabinet combines a 6.5-inch mid/bass driver with a one-inch textile-dome tweeter. Wharfedale specifies 88 dB sensitivity and an amplifier matching range of 20 to 120 W; that range describes suitable amplification rather than power produced by the speaker. The nominal impedance is described as 8-ohm compatible, with a 4-ohm minimum. Deep Black is the semi-matte all-black finish of the newer 12i series, not an interchangeable label for every earlier Diamond 12.2 variant. A suitable external amplifier and speaker cables are required, since there is no internal amplifier or wireless streaming.
