Eversolo DMP-A8 (Black)

The original Eversolo DMP-A8 combines network playback, digital-to-analogue conversion and an analogue preamplifier in a single black component. It is not the later Gen 2 model, so its six-inch touchscreen and original hardware should remain central to the specification. An AKM AK4191EQ and AK4499EX conversion arrangement works with an XMOS audio processor, while an R2R analogue volume network controls the preamplifier output. Both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analogue inputs allow conventional source components to join network and digital sources. Matching analogue outputs can feed a suitable power amplifier or active loudspeakers; the DMP-A8 does not directly power passive speakers. USB-B provides a computer audio input, with optical and coaxial connections offering further digital options. The HDMI ARC input accepts compatible television audio, whereas the separate HDMI-shaped IIS output is intended for a compatible DAC. It is not an ordinary television video output or the same multichannel HDMI connection used on the DMP-A6.
